Not my son's friend. It is not my job to make him feel good about a decision. It is my job to raise him in the way he should go and the includes teaching him responsibility. I also teach at the college level. I also inform my students that this education is yours and completely your responsibility. Saying that no one told you is a poor excuse since no one is responsible for telling you. You must learn it, seek it out for yourself. I wholeheartedly support your decision. I am a Mom.
